Courtney Knapp is an Instructor at Allegory, whose entrepreneurial vision helped lay the foundation for the company’s growth and success. She is a humanist entrepreneur, who believes a company’s greatest strength is its people and their commitment to the organization.
Courtney began her entrepreneurial career twenty years ago with a national retail business. In seven years, the business grew from 7 stores to 120 nationwide. Courtney’s contributions included improving the product offering and managing recruitment, training, and retention. She oversaw the operation of 80 franchisees before becoming a franchisee herself, opening three stores in the SF Bay Area. Previously, Courtney was a property manager in Chicago, responsible for managing a historic landmark and the Chicago Stock Exchange.
Courtney is also a yoga instructor trained in the Iyengar tradition, and has led Outervention overnight backcountry trips for young women in the San Francisco Juvenile Justice Program. She graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Business.
